It’s the current choice of Jon Rahm and other top PGA pros. It also stacked with a hell of a lot of new technology, and it’s our job to assess how this will benefit the everyday golfer. Let’s jump into it.

Overview – What Are We Going to Cover?

Callaway Paradym Driver

As a top manufacturer, Callaway’s drivers have always been in the winner’s circle. The Callaway Paradym Driver has been a huge talking point in the golfing world with its cutting-edge technology and sleek design. This review will cover key features, pros and cons, and some of the common questions golfers might have.

We’ll also discuss the different models the Callaway Paradym driver comes in, including the Callaway Paradym X driver and the Triple Diamond driver.

Key Features and Technology

The Callaway Paradym Driver brings amazing advancements in golf technology, including a 360° Carbon Chassis that redistributes weight to create maximum distance with an impressive clubhead speed.

Also included is Jailbreak A.I. tech for increased ball speeds and torsional stability, with Face Cup tech delivering fast performance across the entire face of the club head upon impact on the course.

In a nutshell, Callaway have asked their A.I super computer to improve certain elements of the club. The 360° carbon chassis is a ring that goes around the whole driver head. The idea is to reinforce the strength of club while keeping it as light as possible. Callaway are the first manufacturer to be able to successfully engineer carbon into a golf club in this way.

To further increase capabilities, this driver utilizes a Triaxial Carbon crown as well as an incredibly light Forged Carbon sole, which makes it 44% lighter than traditional titanium chassis models like Rogue ST Max or Rogue ST drivers. In theory, this should give you a blazingly quick swing.

Loft and Shaft Options

The Callaway Paradym Driver boasts a range of choices in terms of loft, stock shafts, and lie angles to best accommodate every golfer’s individual needs. MyGolfSpy’s swing analysis rates its precision at an impressive 97.8%, giving golfers the opportunity to adjust their driver heads according to their swings with 8 different configurations for both men and women available.

Not forgetting that the grip comes from Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 for added comfort.

What Did Our Testing Find?

Callaway Paradym Driver Tee Off

The Golf Digest Gold List honored this driver with a gold medal in recognition of its excellence, and it’s easy to see why.

The first thing to note is that I tested all three models of Paradym driver (we explain why they are different below). They look about as luxury as I have seen in terms of the finish and head cover.

When I hit the standard Paradym driver (this is aimed at most golfers), I noticed that beautiful ‘crunching’ sound that the top drivers make. My main takeaway from this club was that it was beautifully balanced between distance and forgiveness. If anything, it felt more forgiving than it did like a big hitter.

The Paradym Triple Diamond (designed for low handicappers and professionals) was an absolute monster of a club. I was perhaps gaining an extra 15-20 yards on my usual drives. I have to say though, it was harder to control in pressure situations (especially at the beginning of the round when I wasn’t warmed up), I was hitting it all over the place. If you’re a very good player– definitely test this out.

The Paradym X (aimed at beginners and higher handicappers) was the star of the show. Normally, driver manufacturers make a version of the club aimed at those that slice off the tee (sound familiar?). They tend to travel higher with less distance, but are weighted so you do not slice. Not normally a great option if you are a straight hitter anyway.

I genuinely could not believe how straight I was hitting it with this version of the club. I only missed one fairway out of the 14 I used the driver on, which is amazing for me. Even if you are good driver of the ball, definitely consider the Paradym X.

Do I Recommend the Callaway Paradym Driver?

Callaway Paradym Driver blue colour

Yes absolutely, but you have to pick the correct version of Callaway Paradym Driver to suit your game. As mentioned, the Paradym was awarded a gold ranking on the 2023 Golf Digest Hot List. It also averaged an impressive 4.8/5 from customers who gave it a 100% recommendation. These are great endorsements.

It tested beautifully on the course. The sound was crisp, and the distance I got off the tee was definitely in line with any of the other top drivers that I have used like the PING G425 or the TaylorMade Stealth.

Unlike a lot of its peers though, there are quite big differences between the different models of the club that are available. These are:

  • The Paradym
  • The Paradym X
  • The Paradym Triple Diamond

I would say that if you are decent golfer (roughly 14 handicap and below), then the regular Paradym is right for you.

If you are a higher handicapper or a good golfer with inconsistent driving: give the Paradym X a try. I was astonished at how little dispersion there was between my drives. It felt like I couldn’t miss the fairway.

If you are a low handicap (maybe 5 and below) and you are a great driver then test out the Triple Diamond. I would be surprised if you didn’t get a decent bump of 10-15 yards over your current driver.

The black with blue details make for a subtle but striking aesthetic. The head cover is beautiful.

For my money, the Callaway Paradym driver is the driver of 2023.
